"Did We Do the ‘Fungus Among Us’ Pun Already?"

Films: Mutiny in Outer Space (1965)

Alias: None

Type: Alien

Location: Eldritch Location/Haunted Home

Height/Weight: Grows up to be the size of a large building complex.

Affiliation: Neutral, leaning on Evil

Summary: Once again, invasive plant matter from space threatens people because they put their noses where they shouldn't be. At this point, it must be getting old.

History: Found on the icy lands of the moon, this fungus started out small. But it grew. Oh, how it grew. It grew so much that it became a threat to all life on the Space Station X-7. A shame the place is so perfectly heated for it.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After growing to the point of overtaking the entire base, the fungus gets blasted by concentrated cold air, killing it off for good.

Powers/Abilities: Aside from eating flesh, this fungus thrives in extremely hot environments.

Weakness: Cannot stand cold temperatures...so why didn't it die when it overtook the base and went into space?!

Scariness Factor: 2-The fungus was only a threat because of the cramped space the heroes were in. Aside from that, there's nothing that unique. Though that high-pitched squeal it makes when hurt is a bit unnerving.

Trivia: -This film starred Dolores Faith, who ended her film career after marrying millionaire James Robert Neal.

-This film was directed by an uncredited Arthur C. Pierce, who's long line of low-budget films includes such gems as "Women of the Prehistoric Planet".

The Triffids took Ro-Man's example and made their base on the moons.
Wait, is this the moon? Looks like Mars.
How come we don't have a sensual robot in the film proper?
Flames to the fungus. Problem solved.
